Seymour got a haircut!

In 2006, Seymour, a pothos/devil's ivy, had grown up to 75 feet. Over the years Seymour has been trimmed, moved, and repotted. It has endured sporadic water and feedings but continues to thrive in the library. Seymour is the proud parent of many starts that are growing in the homes of employees past and present.

Connie Anderson

After 11 years at Clark College, Connie Anderson retired on June 30, 2020. During a majority of Connie's time at Clark she worked in the iCommons at CTC. She advocated for the students, faculty, and staff and helped bring awareness to the remote campus. During the past few years she worked more often on main campus. Her cheerful attitude and calming presence was a welcome respite in Access Services. While everyone in the Libraries will miss her fierce advocacy for the Information Commons and students who use its resources, we wish Connie the best of luck in her new adventures!

Roxanne Dimyan

Roxanne Dimyan retired after 23 years at Clark College. She has come to be known for seeming to always know a song or jingle relating to what we were talking about. She advocated tirelessly for a library director and worked to make sure she had a clear understanding of what a student needed or what the issue was, so she could best help/provide her opinion. She was always really good about reaching out beyond the college to provide feedback about things that impacted us and our students (like errors in Rules for Writers). Even when she was frustrated, Roxanne always seemed to have a smile on her face. Cheers to her well-earned retirement!

COVID-19 News

Employees across the college have worked together to compensate for restrictions put in place to protect the college community. Library Services during COVID-19 is a page created to list current updates on access to services and resources. Although Cannell and iCommons may bring to mind a desert landscape full of rolling tumbleweeds, our employees have been hard at work to meet your needs. From 24x7 chat service to lending laptops, we are still here to help.

Gif of pirate in red hat and coat carrying an old film reel while taking steps.     Gif of a hand moving and clicking a computer mouse.      Gif of rolling film reel with a trail of film showing a picture of a mountain landscape.      Penguin wearing a suit holding a ruler and an apple.      Gif of man raising hand and moving lips wearing a toga and laurel wreath standing between two broken columns.

Who wrote the Cannell Chimes? We all did! Everyone in the library contributed ideas and proofread the drafts until we were all satisfied with the content. We hope you enjoyed it!
