Student Employment

Overview

Please email ccantrell@clark.edu with any questions about student employment at Clark College Libraries!

Clark College Libraries is pleased to offer a variety of positions to interested student candidates with work study funding. Please visit the Student Employment page on the Clark College website for more information about the process for receiving and using work study funding.

Our student employment program is built on a strong foundation of diversity, equity, and inclusion. All Access Services Assistants are expected to participate in a mandatory social equity training program comprised of weekly readings and reflection questions. Our library is committed to dismantling white supremacy at all levels of employment. No prior experience or education in this topic is required, but student employees are expected to learn how to confront bias-based behavior from both patrons and coworkers. Although the Libraries still have a great deal of work ahead of us to improve our social justice skills, we are committed to making our spaces safe for systemically non-dominant patrons. Our student employees have a significant role in this ongoing effort as employees of the Libraries and as members of the Clark College community.

Like most other operations at the College, student employment has changed due to COVID-19. Our positions are currently fully-remote with the option of limited, socially-distanced tasks in the Cannell Library.
